Playing A Little Night Music

If you want to play a music cd, you don't need to mount it. But you do need permission to access the device. So, as root, type:

$ chmod 666 /dev/acdo

To make this a more permanent change, add this to /etc/devfs.conf:

perm acd0 0666

so it will set the correct permissions at boot.
